Sometimes I’m surprised that some — and perhaps many — designers still don’t use font managers. For me, it has always been as essential a tool as the design software itself.
As long as I can remember, I’ve used dedicated font management software. One of the first programs I worked with was Font Navigator from Corel. Since then, I’ve tried countless solutions, constantly comparing them in terms of usability and features. There’s no shortage of options today, including some very capable free ones.
For the last six or seven years, ever since I switched to a Mac, I’ve been using RightFont. For me, it’s one of the most convenient font managers available: fast, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated into my workflow.
One of those rare tools that is absolutely worth paying for.
